I had the pleasure of shooting stylist Jane Frosh last week. I’ve worked with Jane before on a shoot. The deal was, I thought, that we’d take shots of this beautiful model on a lookout somewhere locally. What actually happened was that we ended up deep in the Megalong Valley, in a paddock, rubbing sand into the beautiful looking man’s chest and shooting him lying in an old bathtub, whilst he was wearing feathers and beads. Of course!
That morning I’d had a quick conversation with Jane about how the model was looking for ‘tribal’. How she got from a lookout to a bath tub is amazing but you’ve got to love a creative mind like that. I’ll blog those shots soon.
Jane’s got a campaign going at the moment to get over to the UK in September for a workshop with Abigail Ahern and her efforts caught the attention of Abigail who blogged about it too. In return for donations to Jane’s cause, you can get some gorgeous designery perks for yourself, which having seen Jane’s creativity in full swing, are well worth it. If you’re in Sydney, why not donate and get creative?
Oh that’s right, I took some photographs of Jane. Here they are. When you have a model with great style, fab bone structure and an instinctual feel for the camera, this is what you get.
Jane’s Facebook page is here so drop by, get liking and support home grown Australian talent.
